OPPORTUNITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Provide innovative beverage experiences to our guests for special events.
  • Champion beverage service innovation, suggesting continual improvements to senior management team members.
  • Oversee bar staff ensuring Carmen’s service standards, Hamilton Public Health, and the AGCO are upheld regarding the service of beverages.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate event details to all bar staff, ensuring guests of honour are identified and special requests are accommodated.
  • Participate in the successful execution of special events, adhering to timelines, rectifying any issues and answering any questions from guests and staff throughout.
  • Adhere to beverage budgets through diligent service, inventory practices and product sourcing.
  • Produce and review bar reports, maintain inventory and order required products.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with all vendors.
  • Hire and train new team members, continually monitoring performance, providing feedback to your team and conducting annual performance reviews.
  • Routinely review customer comment cards and team feedback to analyze the success of each event and make future pivots as needed.
  • Schedule team members in accordance with event requirements and team member skill set.
  • Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two to four years’ of Management experience within the hospitality industry.
  • Post – Secondary education, in Business Administration or Hospitality, is considered an asset.
  • Smart serve certification required.
  • Previous experience using Caterease is considered an asset.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team-oriented approach to work with strong abilities to provide and receive professional feedback for collective growth.
  • Customer service mindset as well as a high level of ethics and integrity.
  • Flexible work schedule, including evenings and weekends, and can adapt to high stressful situations.
