A dynamic and fast paced environment, this group owns the end-to-end strategic evolution and enablement of the Sales and Client Engagement Model.
The Sales and Client Engagement model team encompasses capabilities that cover the TD Wealth Client Engagement lifecycle: Preparing/Getting Ready, Discovery, Plan Solution/Presentation, Coming Onboard, Ongoing Relationship, Rediscovery. Our primary goal is to provide our advisors with a fully integrated applications platform that will enable them to deliver a legendary end-to-end financial planning experience for their clients.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • 7+ years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
  • 7+ years of experience in a variety of projects/markets on multidisciplinary teams
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or a related discipline is an asset
  • Business Analysis accreditation is an asset or willingness to enroll upon taking on role

Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION – Discovery
Reporting to the Senior Business Architect, this role is responsible for leading, planning, managing and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of business requirements for the Discovery portfolio and ensuring alignment to the needs of both clients and the advised Wealth businesses. The specialist will also be responsible for working closely with Business and Technology partners to support the enhancements and ongoing maintenance of the goal planning platform.

Drive Innovation & Strategic Transformation: Support the Business Architect to:

  • Design the target state for the capabilities owned demonstrating how it will achieve strategic business outcomes
  • Develop the long-term roadmap of initiatives that will achieve the target state directly owning the business rationale for each initiative (cost/benefit, strategic alignment, etc.)
  • Continually enhance capability expertise by staying abreast of industry and competitive drivers and participation in industry committees and/or conferences

Own the Delivery of Business Outcomes

  • Act as the business/product owner for projects related to assigned capabilities to ensure that outcomes meet the target state vision
  • Provide ongoing prioritization of the product backlog utilizing an objective framework to ensure the appropriate focus of what’s being delivered across multiple stakeholders interests
  • Use forward thinking and identify impacts of an initiative on all user groups; determine needs, requirements and priorities; define options and achieve consensus on approaches where possible
  • Build the business case and define the rollout plan in collaboration with other partners
  • Own the facilitation and end-to-end delivery of business requirements following an agile and structured approach to determine how requirements are constructed, traced and prioritized to maximize business value.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and support in defining the business needs, business benefits, or problem/opportunity statements based on strategic drivers and identifying potential solutions
  • Contribute to the delivery of the Business Case by collaborating with stakeholders defining project benefits measures and effort estimates to achieve benefit results/objectives
  • Ensure traceability of requirements to the business solution and benefits realization throughout project. Own the Product Backlog in an Agile environment.
  • Lead the work of other BAs deployed on the project defining and managing the requirements effort including cost and timeline.
  • Proactively identify and track requirements risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, constraints and anticipate and effectively manage risks related to requirements. Align decisions to TD’s risk appetite.
  • Collaborate with technology partners and provide recommendations to support development of: system requirements and design, testing plans, artifacts/deliverables to ensure business needs are met
  • Apply a variety of elicitation techniques to probe, challenge and understand requirements.
  • Identify risks or issues with the prioritization of requirements and the technology design/ solution which may impact realization of project benefits and provide recommendations and support to stakeholders in making decisions to pro-actively resolve or mitigate potential risks/delays to the project
  • Support the Request for Information (RFI) or Request for Proposal (RFP) process with vendors if required
  • Support Quality Assurance activities which include review test plan, test cases and provide guidance on testing and defect reporting
  • Support change management and overall project readiness activities
  • Contribute to personal and team development of skills and capability through training, mentorship of junior/peer Business Analysts, and contribution to the BA practice
