Here’s what you will do

VitalAire is currently looking for a highly motivated and energetic full time Logistics Supervisor to join our Saskatoon, SK office.

The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of distribution and delivery activities/inventory. The incumbent will carry out all responsibilities while ensuring VitalAire’s safety and quality practices.

• Manages and optimizes resources; implements and improves supply structures in keeping with organizational objectives.
• Supervises the planning and coordination of the distribution of cylinders; makes a critical analysis of the demand and ensures the allocation of resources accordingly.
• Ensures timely follow-up on efficiency indicators. provides analysis of KPI’s and develops appropriate action plans.
• Works with his/her team and other cross-functional teams to continuously improve work processes.
• Provides critical analysis of his/her activities, identifies causes of dysfunction and proposes appropriate corrective actions.
• Communicates the vision, policies and objectives of the logistics team. Recommends the optimal allocation of resources. Proposes and implements required efficiency and performance optimizations
• Ensure that each member has the skills, training and resources needed to operate autonomously. Shares the objectives to be attained and takes the necessary measures to ensure execution.
• Respects and ensures that internal and external regulations are respected in keeping with the policies and procedures that apply to the supply chain group.
• Identifies potential risks, informs those concerned and takes part in corrective actions.
• Ensures that the Quality Control System is adhered to by all team members; implements and ensures the timely follow-up of safety and quality indicators and adopts the necessary corrective measures.

Here’s what you will need

• College Certificate or Diploma in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Logistics and transportation related experience (including but not limited to: equipment maintenance and troubleshooting, driver training, warehouse management, driver routing and scheduling, inventory management, transportation regulations)
• Experience with TDG and WSIB/WCB regulatory requirements provincially and federally.
• Experience working in a computerized environment. Strong working knowledge of Google Applications
• Knowledge of AS400 and digital dispatching tools are an asset.
• 3-5 years experience in a supervisor capacity in logistics
