Job description: The Faculty of Engineering would like to nominate an individual internal to the faculty who identifies as a person with a disability for a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair.

The Canada Research Chairs (CRCs) were established by the Canadian Government to foster research excellence ( ). Tier 1 Chairs, tenable for seven years and renewable once, are for outstanding researchers acknowledged by their peers as world leaders in their fields. The successful candidate must have a documented, outstanding record of research in an area of Engineering, including leading an internationally-recognized research program that is aligned with the University of Alberta’s Strategic Plan. Nominees must be full professors or associate professors who are expected to be promoted to full professor within one or two years of the nomination date.
