Job title: Class 1 Truck Driver – Remote Camp Route

Job description: Are you a Class 1 Driver who is physically fit, enjoys delivering excellent customer service, and working with a great team? Do you like being able to come home at the end of your shift and are you ready for a new challenge? If so, Gordon Food Service could be the place for you!

Shift: 2 trips/week (Overnight-Bunk)

Hours of work include driving the truck and trailer to and from Sioux Lookout or Slate Falls,
Ontario and delivering product in and around both remote camp locations. The remote camp
route operates each week with two shifts: (i) from Monday morning to Tuesday afternoon; and
(ii) from Thursday morning to Friday afternoon.

Key Responsibilities:
● Operating tractor/trailer safely at all times
● Working with customers in a professional manner regarding any concerns
● Completing pre and post trip paperwork and daily log books
● Completing credits for customers when necessary
● Other duties as assigned

Education, Skills & Competencies:
● Hold a Class 1A driver’s license for 2 plus years.
● Works well unsupervised and is self- motivated
● Must be able to do physical work (walking, bending, pulling, lifting, etc.) and lift up to 75
lbs
● Must have a passion for customer service
● Strong attention to detail
● Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work holidays
● Ability to work in a fast paced, physically challenging environment
● Positive attitude and strong work ethic
● Ability to follow site rules and regulations.
● Being familiar with camp roads and rules is an asset.
● Use of a high frequency radio.
● Able to use a truck sleeper.
● Proficient with log book regulations.
