CLIENT TECHNOLOGY MANAGER – SECURITY
Location: Regina or Saskatoon, SK
Position Type: Permanent Full-Time

SaskTel is looking for experienced security specialists to join the SaskTel team. You will provide information security leadership, consulting, and support across SaskTel. Your duties will include assessing security posture, and developing security measures by engaging in SaskTel’s security program initiatives. You should possess both deep and wide expertise in security and have a background in security, networking or systems.
GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
This position is accountable for providing technical leadership and consulting services in the area of logical and physical security. Responsible for the protection of SaskTel’s systems, networks, people, and properties including SaskTel’s reputation and name through awareness, prevention, detection, investigation and recovery techniques.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Accountable for ensuring that SaskTel’s internal and external architectures incorporate sound security principles and security best practices. This is accomplished through consultation at the planning, design, and development levels and includes SaskTel Holdco systems, networks, physical assets and security related plans throughout the organization.
2. Accountable as a subject matter expert (SME) on current and future Security methodologies, standards, guidelines, and tools in order to recommend/influence their use within SaskTel Holdco.
3. Ensure both internal and external crimes against SaskTel and its customers are detected and action is taken by conducting investigations and providing assistance to management and/or law enforcement agencies.
4. Accountable for identifying, recommending, and establishing requirements into the development of corporate security policies and procedures. Ensure they remain effective and align with corporate priorities while reflecting industry best practice. Monitor compliance by performing security reviews and assessments.
5. Initiate, facilitate, advise, and promote activities to create security awareness within the organization related to current security technology, strategies, regulatory requirements and legislation.
6. Develops, maintains, and administers Corporate Security specific systems/tools in the areas of access
management, incident tracking, alert management/response, and compliance.
7. Accountable for professional reports, presentations and studies that SaskTel management can rely upon as input to corporate decisions.
8. Accountable for supervision of projects and/or personnel associated with this position and for identifying such projects and the requirements for technical personnel associated with them.
9. Perform Administrative functions such as disaster recovery, safety plan administration, annual work and business planning and establishing annual objectives.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
1. University degree in Electrical, Electronics or Systems Engineering and eligibility for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan or University Degree in Computer Science or Engineering/Applied Science Diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
2. Significant and current experience in one or both of the following areas: IP technology or systems development experience.
3. Certified Professional Designation from applicable organizations such as Microsoft, Cisco, SANS, ISC2 is an asset.
4. Demonstrated expertise in security, voice/data/information technologies, IP networking technologies, as well as project management.
5. Ability to function well in ambiguous situations with particular emphasis on existing technologies and the inter-working with emerging technologies.
6. Ability to learn new technologies and apply them to effective solution of business problems
7. Excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills
