This Is an awesome opportunity to lead the design and delivery of communication strategy in support of creating an open innovation culture in BMO.

This team is within the larger Technology operations that researches and experiments new innovative technology solutions and enables innovation efforts to support BMO’s strategic capabilities.

Key Mandates: Leads the design and delivery of communication strategy and solutions in support of the technology research & innovation activities in BMO. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Leading the development of strategic plans and messages to support the overall technology research and innovation enablement mandate
• Establishing and maintaining a creative communication platform to enable a multi-channel delivery of programs and awareness champions
• Leading the creation of technical reporting of research outputs (including executive reporting). Developing materials for; innovation events, training & learning sessions, community engagements, etc.
• Planning, organizing and facilitating innovation events, gatherings and contests to encourage community building, elevate innovation awareness and elicit culture transformation in BMO.
• Define success criteria. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of communication tactics, apply learning to processes and adjust approaches to demonstrate return on communication investment
• Bringing creativity to all communications to drive technology adoption and increase brand awareness

Experience, Skills and Requirements:

• 5 years of experience focusing on strategic communications, including 5 years in an information technology environment.
• Proven track record of success in developing and implementing creative and effective external and internal communications programs that reach diverse audiences.
• Excellent editing and proofreading skills Strong organization, planning skills with the ability to manage multiple and changing deadlines and priorities (i.e. last-minute requests) with solid project management skills.
• Strong ability to adapt writing styles for various purposes for different media requirements and different audiences.
• High level of creativity for communications, public relations and marketing strategies.
• Strategic thinking combined with an excellent attention to detail.
• High level of creativity for communications, experience in planning and organizing innovation events/champions.
• Strong ability to adapt writing styles for various purposes for different media requirements and different audiences
• Experience with UI/UX design, data visualization tools (Spotfire, Power BI, PowerAPPS, etc.) will be an asset
