Job title: Construction Administrator

Job description: Core Development Group is seeking a Construction Administrator for its SFR division that will manage internal operations under the instruction of the Construction Manager and Director of Construction. Supporting the Project Manager, staff and contractors, this position presents a great opportunity to learn the inner-workings of the development industry in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support and assist the company’s Project Manager in the fulfillment of key functions and scheduling requirements
  • Managing timelines and communicating delays within the team
  • Scheduling trades, municipal inspectors, architects and engineers
  • Preparing work schedules for contractors and laborers
  • Adhering to both budgetary and time constraints
  • Uploading files and data to our Construction Platform in real time
  • Reporting on progress and challenges throughout the preconstruction and construction process
  • Learning and applying the latest relevant knowledge to the work
  • Other ad hoc duties including sourcing material and trades

What You Bring

  • Past experience working with management in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Past experience working with trades, subcontractors and municipal inspectors
  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Extremely detail-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment
  • Exceptional communication (both written and verbal)
  • Strong interpersonal skills at all levels of the organization
  • Superior organizational skills, time management, ability to prioritize, meet & set deadlines
  • A quick learner with a positive attitude to take on new challenges
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Dedication to completing projects in a timely manner
