Job title: Construction Clerk, Rail & Transit

Job description: TORONTO

WSP is currently seeking a Construction Clerk to join our Rail & Transit department, located at our Toronto project office. Reporting to the Manager, this position will be responsible for managing all administrative tasks and supporting the activities of the administrative services, including project and proposal support.

A typical week will include:

  • Assist with managing, monitoring and maintaining the proposal database, files, and systems through appropriate information management systems. Keep accurate records that are in progress;
  • Compiling and/or verifying information for accuracy and quality assurance;
  • Tracks correspondence, shop drawings and material submissions received from clients;
  • Understand the contractor’s obligations and the client’s responsibilities under the contract;
  • Duties include but are not limited to word processing, creating and updating spreadsheets and database files, creating Contract files and filing Contract documentation;

  • Candidate must have approximately two (2) years experience in office administration;
  • Must possess sound judgement; strong organizational, administrative, observational and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent written communication ability with strong verbal ability;
  • Ability to communicate with other professionals and to follow up with them to obtain the required information;
  • Ability to work in a team environment, working collaboratively towards the same goals and objectives;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
