Mission
We are seeking a Construction Engineering Team Lead to join our Saskatchewan Transportation Operations. You will have the opportunity to personally manage and execute projects and grow the team. You will be responsible for leading project and proposal teams to deliver exceptional services and achieve client satisfaction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain contacts and relationships with key clients
- Identify and pursue new clients and markets
- Provide technical knowledge to client-specific project opportunities
- Manage multiple urban and rural highway and roadway projects
- Oversee the preparation and review of contract and tender documents
- Ensure quality control practices are followed
- Actively participate and lead preparation of proposals and technical reports
- Be the point of contact with Owners, Clients, and Contractors as required to ensure the successful delivery of the project
- Provide mentorship and knowledge transfer to other team members in a growing office environment.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGS, or be eligible for registration
- 15 years minimum engineering experience on transportation projects and preferably Second Level Supervisor status (or eligible to obtain) with the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure
- Experience leading a group of engineers and technologists design and construction management of transportation infrastructure projects.
- PMP designation is an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with managing multi-discipline design and construction projects
- Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize several concurrent assignments to deliver projects on time and within budget
- Specific experience with and knowledge of Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways a definite asset.
