HOURS OF WORK:
8-hour shift – Monday to Friday
Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.
JOB SUMMARY:
The consultant will report to the Director of the Programme de formation en médecine de famille francophone du Nouveau-Brunswick, the Director of the Greater Moncton Family Medicine Unit (FMU) and the Administrative Director. In collaboration with physician instructors, the consultant will perform duties related to the establishment of a quality and safety continuous improvement culture within the FMU. The consultant will carry out activities in the areas of promotion, prevention, analysis, solution development, and continuous quality improvement project management for the Programme de formation en médecine de famille francophone du Nouveau-Brunswick. The consultant will also participate in implementing primary health care service experience improvement activities for the population receiving services from the FMU and various units involved in the Programme de formation en médecine de famille francophone du Nouveau-Brunswick and Vitalité Health Network.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master’s degree in science, nursing, health sciences or a similar discipline or an equivalent combination of training (at least a bachelor’s degree) and experience;
- Member in good standing of the NANB or similar association;
- Lean Six Sigma training or interest in obtaining this training;
- At least five years’ experience in the health research field within a university setting, medical research facility or hospital setting;
- Experience in project coordination and development;
- Relevant experience in adult education and especially educational activities;
- Previous work experience with a multidisciplinary team;
- Knowledge of common computer tools (e.g. Microsoft Office 365);
- Knowledge of relevant research regulations, including good clinical practice guidelines from Health Canada and the FDA;
- Proven ability to organize and manage their work and perform self-directed work;
- Initiative and proven leadership skills;
- Proven communication and interpersonal skills;
- Proven teamwork skills and ability to bring people together around interdisciplinary collaborative work;
- Proven ability to operate in a changing work environment;
- Proven skills conducting documentary research and using evidence-based data;
- Strong analytical and organizational skills;
- Strong interest in becoming more knowledgeable;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Physical ability to perform assigned work;
- Good work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network’s management philosophy, and organizational values;
- Compliance with Vitalité Health Network’s confidentiality rules.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.
