Position Summary

We are looking for a Customer Demand Planner for Nestlé based at our Brampton location reporting into the Customer Supply Chain Lead. The Customer Demand Planner is responsible for generating 18-month rolling customer specific demand plans for NCI leveraging statistical forecasting tools, POS data, Advanced Ad Grid, and other insights.

A day in the life of…

As a Customer Demand Planner, you will:

  • Provides the most accurate business forecast leveraging POS data, Planned orders info from the customer, ICP building blocks, customer inventory data, Advance Ad Grid, Statistical Forecast and other insights
  • Works with data scientists and applies statistical forecasting models to available data to generate rolling 18-month base and uplift forecast with a focus on predicting short-term forecast (operational – next 3 to 4 months) as accurately as possible at the SKU level. Ensures tactical forecast (outside of next 3 to 4 months) is aligned to customer/category combination targets.
  • Works with IT team to ensure error free interface is in place for base and uplift forecast to be transferred to customer planning tools. Maintain volume and related trade spend in the planning tool.
  • Liaises as required with CDT or CFSC to maximize On Shelf Availability of Nestle Canada items.
  • Participates in post promotional event assessment where necessary.
  • Analyzes / reviews operational and supply chain trends and monitors sales achievements to proactively identify issues and propose improvements. Leverage the total forecast operational Analytics Dashboard. Work with IT team to ensure appropriate health checks are in place to proactively make decisions
  • Engages CDT and CFSC members in the active pursuit of all process improvement opportunities (prevention).
  • Prepares Demand Planning Performance Reports, and participates in MBP and MOR process when necessary
  • Attend monthly meeting with KAMs, AMs, and CPFR Mangers to provide appropriate forecast details in the 0 to 4 month horizon. Alignment on AVAs, Seasonal business, and short-term promotions.
  • Sets up and inputs trade that is associated to NPS volume. Uses Dead-Net Cost templates/Net Price Architecture TTS Transparency to set up promotional shells. Attaches initial anticipated forecast scans associated.

You will also have:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Supply Chain (Especially Demand Planning) or data science/analytics. – Demonstrable record of success in supply/value chain optimization and/or demand planning – CPFR or Analyst experience would be an asset.
  • Completed University Degree in business, Statistics, operations management, supply chain, or logistics,
  • Advanced Level – Excel/PowerPoint/Power BI, Trade Insight, Qlikview, Osprey
