We currently have an open position for Manager, Data Analytics in the Technology Department in the Toronto office. The purpose of this position will be to oversee the work of an analytics department, ensuring its accuracy, evaluate and create a road map to modernize the Information Warehouse systems developing new processes, proposing, adopting, and designing new tools for effective data analysis and reporting. The modernization includes the database, ETL and reporting portal. This position requires engaging vendors for solution proposal, peers in the McDonald’s system, internal Information Warehouse and architecture teams and successful candidate must have a combination of data analysis knowhow and business skills.

Principal Accountabilities: In addition to following McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
People/Relationship Management
· The person will lead a team of Information Warehouse professionals.
· Provides coaching and mentoring developing team skillset of the future
· Manages and leverages relationships with vendors for a specific product/service
· Track progress Information Warehouse projects and activities, reporting status to stake holders
· Analyze the business requests and assign tasks to the relevant team members
Qualifications
· Degree/diploma in Computer Sciences or a related discipline/3+ year experience.
· Knowledge in Data Lake and reporting systems like Tableau, Microstrategy, Cognos will be an asset
· Knowledge in data architecture and tropology
· Strong in PowerShell, SQL scripting, Cubes, OLAP
· Strong data analytics capabilities.
· Deep interest and aptitude in data, metrics, analysis and trends
· Applied knowledge of modernization of BI reporting
· Desire to search, evaluate, and recommend 3rd party software products we should use
· Excellent problem-solving skills and impeccable business judgment.
· 3 + years people management experience
· 3 + years in project management experience
· Experience engaging and managing senior leadership stake holders.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation skills, and analytical abilities.
· Process oriented, looks for ways to streamline work flow
