Position Overview
Kiewit Infrastructure Engineering (KIE) has an immediate opening for a dynamic Deputy Design Manager. You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail, and materials disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Consolidate best practices from project execution
- Leading pursuit of design-build projects
- Lead team of Kiewit design engineers and subconsultants
- Identify design-build opportunities and develop win strategy for capture
- Interface and maintain relationships with external design partners
- Manage schedule and budget
- Manage deliverables, quality and compliancy
- Interface with other Kiewit operating districts
- Interface with construction project leadership (Db coordinators and others)
Qualifications
- Ability to travel (up to 25%) across North America
- 5+ years of design management experience with an emphasis on design-build
- Professional registration required
- Must have direct experience on at least 1-2 design build projects
- Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative
- Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time
- Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity
- Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Team player with the ability to work independently to meet deadlines, goals and objectives

Location
This position is based out of our Quebec office and typically requires less than 25 percent travel.
