Job description: The Director of Membership Information Services and Information Technology (MIS/IT) provides key internal services to champion the strategic and operational functions of Saskatchewan Government and General Employees Union (SGEU).

A member of the senior management team, reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of MIS/IT provides leadership and management for the MIS/IT services and is based in the Regina office. The position plans, develops, and ensures delivery of programs and functions that result in the timely, responsive, accurate and efficient delivery of information services to SGEU staff and members and technology services to SGEU staff.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Plans, directs, and manages the Membership Information Services (MIS) team to ensure a shared commitment to achieve the goals and objectives of the organization at a specified standard;
Develops and implements goals and objectives, projects, and actions to ensure the MIS team is provided with the tools to effectively provide the high standard of services required to meet the needs of the membership;
Conducts needs assessments, provides regular analysis and reports and recommends actions to continually improve the service to members;
Supports information technology services for SGEU employees, including cellular services, administration of network services, servers, desktop and laptop technology including inventories, security and evergreening policies and practices.
Creates and maintains professional, effective, strong working relationships with the management team, employees, and elected representatives;
Provides guidance, support, and direction, allocates staffing resources, sets priorities for the MIS and IT groups regarding consistent practices and with respect to developing and implementing programs and operations.
