YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop the methods, frameworks and tools to support the development teams in designing and engineering modular product platforms and managing complexity
- Evaluate changes required in current processes, data, applications that are required to achieve these goals
- Partner with R&D development teams, Marketing, Design, IT, Finance and external partners to ensure successful development of the methods
- Conceptualize, develop, deploy and improve new methodologies and tools that will provide increased efficiencies in product development processes and in product profitability.
- Deploy best practices to reduce product portfolio complexity and to enhance utilization of R&D resources in product development projects.
- Test different approaches and iterations of the methods and present development of the method to key stakeholders
- Define the proper data model to support the processes
- Ensure tools and applications are efficiently supporting the processes
- Develop strategies for implementation
- Develop material to train and support key users
- Evaluate and report on performance gains for BRP with the new methods
- Develop dashboards and KPI’s to track gains accomplished with the modular platforms and new processes.
- Work with different development teams in the conception of modular product platform architecture and complexity management
- Effectively plan, execute, monitor and control, and close projects using principles, methods, and standard techniques that were developed
- Understand product vision and business needs to define product requirements and product architectural solutions.
- Lead workshop sessions during the design of the modular platform and the evaluation of complexity
- Provide training to align the teams on the method, goals, tools, etc.
- Ensure guidelines and best practices are leveraged
- Promote the vision of modular platform architecture and complexity management across the organization to help achieve the objectives
- Leverage data, draw insights, build visualization tools and make recommendations to reduce complexity by working collaboratively with engineering, product strategy, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Finance, Master Data etc.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, MBA a plus
- Leadership and drive to radiate positive and innovative thinking helping you and the team to deliver challenging projects;
- Ability to learn new tools and organize data
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well with people at all levels and different backgrounds
- Curiosity and strong willingness to learn new domains and new ways of thinking.
- Excellent organization, self-driven, and matrix management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and a strong attention to detail are required.
- Ability to recognize and adapt to change
- High level of enthusiasm and a passion for excellence
- Mandatory bilingualism written and spoken (English/ French);
