YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as an intermediary between the internal client (Engineering) and the prototyping and vehicle assembly workshop teams
  • Support, assist and advise engineering project managers with evaluating and expressing their needs as related to vehicle prototyping, assembly and preparation
  • Draft, analyze, modify and clarify work requirements in order to determine needs in terms of labour, parts, vehicle availability and technical information
  • Plan and manage assembly priorities and the flow of requests in the shop according to internal client requests
  • Plan the manufacturing and assembly of vehicles, components and/or fixtures per internal client requests
  • Plan and follow up on orders for parts and vehicles to ensure that product development proceeds on schedule
  • Plan and organize shipping of goods and vehicles per internal client requests
  • Support the shop leader in improving processes; serve as a model in maintaining best planning practices

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • DEC or DEP (vocational or college diploma) in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 18 months to 3 years of experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of how an automobile service department operates may be an asset
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and extensive knowledge of BRP products
  • Understanding of common manufacturing processes (drilling, milling, welding, molding)
  • Proficiency in English and French, both oral and written (ability to verbally communicate in complex situations or read, write or transcribe complex activity reports and technical reports) (4/5)
  • Familiarity with the “SAP” ERP system an asset
