Job description: FINANCE MANAGER / ASSISTANT CONTROLLER
Office Location: Barrie, ON (on-site role)

Education:
- Degree in Accounting
- CPA, CA designation preferred or working towards
Accountabilities:
- Preparation and reporting of income and retail sales taxes in Canada and US
- Composing and analyzing monthly and yearly financial statements, working papers and ad-hoc reports including variance analysis’ and Management reports
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Drive month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure SOX documentation and adherence
- Support Controller in all external audits
- Provide leadership and support to Accounting team
Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience in a Senior Level Accounting role
- Experience working in or with a publicly traded, multi-location company
- Financial analysis, budgeting and financial planning experience
- Full-cycle accounting, consolidation and general practices, including audit background
- Strong working experience with SOX compliance
