About the Team & Business Line:
Fund Administration is Citco’s core business, and our alternative asset and accounting service is one of the industry’s most respected. Our continuous investment in learning and technology solutions means our people are equipped to deliver a seamless client experience.
As a core member of our Finance team, you will be working with some of the industry’s most accomplished professionals to deliver award-winning services for complex fund structures that our clients can depend upon.
Your Role:
- You will be responsible for the personnel expenditure reconciliations, variance analysis, headcount analysis and commentary for a number of entities in the North America region.
- Liaise with Payroll teams on specific areas of concern, follow up of open items, amongst others
- Liaise with queries around for the daily accounting, preparing month end journals, recording and reconciling intercompany transactions
- Assist with monthly, and quarterly and annual management reporting requirements
- Coordinate and review the annual/quarterly/monthly Corporation tax returns, HST returns, NR4 returns, Excise tax return and other statutory returns for various legal entities
- Provide financial variance analysis and commentary as required
- Assure internal control compliance, improve existing controls and identify improvement opportunities
- Review Balance Sheet reconciliations for a group of legal entities in the region and challenge open balances
- Liaise with multiple cross functional teams within the organization globally
- Assist with the review of financial statements
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Special projects and various ad-hoc duties as assigned
- Ad hoc requests as they arise
About You:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in either Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
- Fully qualified or working towards professional qualification such as CPA, an advantage
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills
- Ability to work with all levels of staff and management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with good use and knowledge of Excel
- Desired skills and expertise:
- Technical knowledge and commercial acumen
- Working knowledge and experience with Oracle an advantage
- Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills in your approach to work
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with global teams on a different time zones an advantage
