On November 12, 2021, Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals. It is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you will be an employee of an entity within the newly created Consumer Health company and your employment will be governed by that company’s employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

The Financial Analyst is a member of the Sales Finance team with responsibility to provide the best-in-class financial business partnering, financial planning and analysis and management reporting to deliver joint value creation. The Financial Analyst will enable profitable growth for customer teams and the organization by understanding the drivers of revenue and trade investment and taking an active role in trade management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial leadership to manage trade investment and deliver on Customer Joint Value Creation partnership.
  • Key finance business partner supporting Customer Teams.
  • Partner with Customer Teams, Sales Strategy and Finance to ensure thorough financial analysis and validation of incremental funding asks, trade investment calls and management of risk/offsets to deliver on the latest financial plan.
  • Support Finance and Sales organization to deliver on the Sales and Trade Investment targets by account team.
  • Lead trade investment review process including execution, reporting, financial roll up of risks/offsets, presentation and final year end trade accrual.
  • Ensure work is done with a strong compliance mindset, in line with SOX and J&J worldwide procedures requirements.
  • Champion continuous process improvements including system updates and enhancements.
  • Prepare month-end and ad-hoc reporting, analysis of budget vs. actual results, including identification of risks and offsets vs. budget.

Qualifications

  • In process of achieving or recently completed a Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience is required. Experience in Consumer packaged goods or a JNJ affiliate is a strong asset.
  • Ideal candidate is interested in working towards a CPA
  • Process design/improvement experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrates leadership skills and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong computer and Excel skills; SAP experience an asset.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills
  • Proven ability to work through ambiguity
  • Strong customer focus and communication skills (verbal, written) including presentations
  • Ability to present complex information and analysis in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization including senior management
  • Proven time organizational skills and able to multi-task effectively
  • Demonstrates awareness of how his/her actions or interactions impact others
  • The ability to think creatively and work in a team environment is required. Individual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
