Job description: Responsibilities:

Duties and qualifications consist of (but not limited to):

  • Prepare all aspects of the food production for Vista 18 according to hotel standards and sanitation practices.
  • Working closely with the Sous Chef to ensure the food quality, safety and presentation operational success of the department adhering to Food Safety and WorksafeBC standards.
  • Practice sanitation and safety daily to ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Cleaning of walk in, storage and refrigerators for stock rotation and ensure all equipment in work area is properly cleaned.
  • Report any equipment in need of repair to the Sous Chef and the Chef de Cuisine.
  • Perform other duties as necessary and assigned.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • A Minimum of 3 years experience in similar position required.
  • A Valid Food Safe Level One certification required.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, multi-functional team environment required.
  • Requires good communication skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to promote a strong commitment to providing the best possible experience for our guests and employees.
  • A Formal culinary education an asset.

Recommended Training:

  • Salary/Wage: $17.01 – $21.26
