Job description: Critical Mass is looking for a Technology Lead to lead join our team. You’ll partner closely with our creative, strategy, and marketing science leads to create amazing work for one of the world’s premier automotive brands. Ideal candidates will have automotive category experience, but more importantly a passion for bringing the best of what’s possible to engaging, effective user experiences. There’s a lot of opportunity on the account, so you’ll work with a Technology Director and VP, Technology overseeing the account to capitalize on those chances.

This lead role will oversee large initiatives. We’re thinking that someone with high-proficiency in client-side technologies will be able to thrive. You’ll still be close to the code at times – creating POCs, performing code reviews, etc., but you’ll also have an onsite team tech team consisting of all the skills necessary to create and deliver the digital experience as well as a supplemental team one time zone away.

This position can be done remotely dependent on location.

You will:

• Work with the cross-disciplinary teams on strategic initiatives and campaign work
• Scope technical components of overall solutions accurately
• Enforce the development process and ensure appropriate project documentation
• Provide hands-on development support to project team where necessary
• Contribute to solution architecture designs and code reviews
• Understand technical complexities of multi-tiered web solutions and ensure appropriate design solutions are achieved
• Be a liaison to offshored development team based in Costa Rica

You have:

• Strong fundamental knowledge of CSS and ES6 JavaScript outside of any library/framework abstraction
• A love of TypeScript and unit tests
• Experience managing development and delivery of B2C websites
• Familiarity with website operations and fluency in the typical tiers on a high traffic website
• Experience solving problems and troubleshooting issues
• Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools – JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence, etc.
• Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
• Ability to communicate with clients daily, acting as a representative of Critical Mass from a technical & business development standpoint
• Experience with leading and mentoring a distributed team utilizing modern communication tools

You may have:

• Adobe Experience Manager on version 6.3 or later, or enterprise CMS
• Experience with Vue.js or similar
• Experience with graphQL or APIs with complex data structures
• Experience with Webpack, or other tools used to optimize and maintain front-end build systems
