The Field Services Business Intelligence team is responsible for developing, maintaining and using data to drive insights on customer experience and field technician’s productivity. The team covers the full stack of BI including sourcing and maintaining data, reporting, analysis, data visualization, machine learning models and deploying production model driven applications. Our team partners closely with other business intelligence teams within the company and supports our Field Services team members with impactful insights that help us continue to transform the business.

With nearly limitless sources of data at our fingertips, the Field Services Business Intelligence team collects and analyzes data on network and product performance, uses data such as GPS to optimize resource utilization across a workforce of nearly 10,000 people and delivers a performance management system that achieves best in class quality from our technicians. The team’s findings help prioritize key technology investments and ensures major strategic decisions are always data driven. Key Responsibilities:

  • Translating business imperatives into data centered questions to be able to quantify and evaluate them
  • Build applied machine-learning solutions to improve Customer Experience and optimize Field Operations processes
  • Deliver solutions with measureable results
  • Bring in new sources of data by exploring data across Bell and externally
  • Build code and models to translate raw data into actionable insights.
  • Design and expand interactive dashboards
  • Communicates results of analysis and models to stakeholders

Critical Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Self starter individual with highly analytical problem solving skills and a curiosity to understand “how things work”
  • Undergraduate or masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Physics, Mathematics or related field
  • Must be versatile and quick to learn new languages, packages and frameworks
  • Experience in Python
  • Knowledge of machine learning practices and experience applying them to real datasets
  • Experience in ideation, prototyping , development and testing
  • Ability to leverage insights and opportunities from data and metrics to build strategies and make recommendations
  • Team player with excellent organization and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual (English/French) is an asset in Ontario, and a requirement in Québec

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Experience with various databases systems such as Hadoop, Microsoft SQL Server, Teradata, SAS, Oracle
  • Experience in continuous integration and automated deployment processes using Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, uDeploy or similar tools Hands on experience developing full-stack/responsive web applications using any of the following frameworks/technologies: Vuejs, reactjs, angularjs, javascripts, jquery, bootstrap, d3, plotly, nodejs, Django, ruby on rails, etc.

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
