Job title: General Labourer

Job description: Don’t mind getting your hands dirty? This is the job for you. Prestige Kamloops Hotel has an immediate opening for a Labourer for upcoming renovations to this newly acquired hotel. This is a casual, on-call position.

Duties:

• Perform heavy lifting (e.g., moving heavy furniture, removing debris, and moving construction materials)
• Perform demolition, carpentry, plumbing, painting, etc.
• Perform hotel room repair activities. (e.g., handrails, walls, doors, flooring, etc.)
• Ensure a safe work environment is always maintained with a commitment to working safely
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Prior construction, renovation, or skilled trades experience is considered an asset
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability to lift medium to heavy loads weighing up to 22.7kg (50 lbs)
• Positive Team Player Attitude

Compensation:

• Competitive hourly wage based on your experience ($17-19 per hour)
