  • Gérer, superviser et former l’équipe de comptables principaux de propriétés;
  • Assurer et maintenir l’intégrité des livres comptables des propriétés assignées;
  • Jouer un rôle actif dans la budgétisation, les prévisions, les analyses mensuelles et trimestrielles et les procédures de fin d’exercice;
  • Vérifier les rapports mensuels, trimestriels et annuels et en coordonner la préparation (documents de travail des propriétés, états financiers, états des charges d’entretien des aires communes, rapports comptables destinés aux partenaires, dossiers de vérification, etc.);
  • Communiquer les objectifs de l’équipe Finances-Clients aux employés et fixer les objectifs personnels des employés pour l’année à venir;
  • Mener les évaluations semestrielles et annuelles du rendement des employés sous sa supervision;
  • Assurer la liaison avec les autres services et répondre à leurs demandes;
  • Gérer l’analyse des frais imposés aux partenaires, ainsi que leur allocation;
  • Vérifier les transferts pécuniaires mensuels aux copropriétés;
  • Réviser les dossiers mensuels et trimestriels de présentation de l’information destinés aux copropriétés;
  • Assister l’équipe dans différentes tâches, au besoin (dont l’acquisition et la disposition d’actifs).

Connaissances et aptitudes requises

  • Titre professionnel comptable reconnu (CPA);
  • Au moins cinq ans d’expérience dans le milieu des affaires;
  • Expérience pertinente dans un poste similaire (idéalement dans le secteur de l’immobilier), un atout;
  • Solide expérience en supervision et en direction d’équipe;
  • Excellentes capacités d’analyse et de résolution de problèmes et aptitude à colliger, interpréter et synthétiser de l’information complexe;
  • Esprit d’équipe et capacité à travailler sous pression et à respecter les échéanciers;
  • Solides compétences relationnelles et communicationnelles;
  • Solides compétences en priorisation et en gestion du temps;
  • Personne motivée, autonome, proactive et soucieuse du détail;
  • Capacité et volonté de travailler sous pression dans un environnement en constante évolution, tout en gérant plusieurs dossiers et demandes de front;
  • Solides connaissances de la suite Microsoft Word, particulièrement d’Excel;
  • À l’aise en français et en anglais, essentiel (à l’oral comme à l’écrit).
  • Manage, supervise and train a team of senior property accountants;
  • Maintain and ensure the integrity of accounting records for assigned properties;
  • Play an active role in the budgeting, forecasting, monthly and quarterly variance analysis and year-end processes;
  • Coordinate and review the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including property working papers, financial and CAM statements, accounting reports for partners, audit files, etc;
  • Convey Client-Finance team objectives to staff and set objectives for each staff member for the upcoming year;
  • Perform semi-annual and annual performance reviews for employees under his or her supervision;
  • Liaise with other departments and respond to their queries;
  • Manage the allocation and analysis of fees charged to partners;
  • Review monthly cash transfers for co-owned properties;
  • Review monthly/quarterly reporting packages for co-owned properties;
  • Assist with various other ad-hoc tasks as required, including asset acquisitions and dispositions.

Key requirements

  • Recognized professional accounting designation (CPA);
  • Minimum five years of experience in a business environment;
  • Pertinent experience in a similar position, especially in the real estate industry, an asset;
  • Strong supervisory and team-leading experience;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to gather, interpret and synthesize complex information;
  • Team spirit, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Solid time management and prioritization skills;
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, proactive and detail-oriented;
  • Ability and desire to work under pressure within a changing work environment, while simultaneously managing multiple files and requests;
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software, particularly of Excel;
  • Fluently bilingual in French and English (spoken and written).
