ROLE PROPOSITION

The Guest Experience Ambassador plays a vital role in establishing a positive experience for our guests as they arrive and throughout the duration of their stay. The Guest Experience Ambassador ensures the property is welcoming and works to deliver an elevated guest experience by anticipating the guests’ needs at all times. As a key guest facing role within the Front Office team, it is well positioned to offer an exemplary understanding of all operations. This knowledge will provide strength to the successful candidates’ professional experience, opening up opportunities of advancement internally and externally throughout the Tourism / Hospitality industry.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Responsible for delivering a range of guest facing services seamlessly and professionally, including, but not limited to:
  • Seasonal valet assistance (Bike & Ski)
  • Golf cart shuttle; Guest and golf bag drop off and pickup (Summer)
  • Bell cart retrieval and sanitizing
  • Luggage assistance for storage/ pickup/ running to vacant inspected rooms
  • Guest services assistance for hotel amenities such as business center, phones, outlet information, and booking the pool and hot tub times
  • Monitor public spaces for ongoing cleanliness, ensuring the space is welcoming for guests, to include: Surface dusting, garbage removal; vacuuming; washing windows and sliding doors; cleaning the floor; and cleaning high touch areas including elevators
  • Keep the health club presentable and readily stocked with items
  • Conduct parking lot sweeps
  • Keep the front entrance fresh and welcoming to guests throughout the season
  • Run amenities as listed on amenity convenience cards
  • Maintain a professional appearance and friendly presence within the Front Office areas
  • Act with professionalism and provide a service standard that elevates the guest experience
  • Answer the telephone with a pleasant manner and approved verbiage, directing calls appropriately
  • Act as an ambassador of the Hotel & Sun Peaks Resort, as prompted by guests for direction and insight on internal and external events
  • Interact with the guest throughout the duration of their stay
  • Drive customer loyalty by building individualized connections with guests
  • Other duties as required

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Experience within a Front Office team or equivalent customer-facing role with an understanding of the guest service processes
  • A working knowledge of hotel systems, specifically Opera would be a strong benefit
  • Proficiency with computer systems, such as Microsoft Office
  • Post-secondary education in hospitality, or a related field would be an advantage
  • Professional, well organized and delights in providing exceptional guest service by anticipating guest needs with strong interpersonal skills
