A partner to the Financial Controller, Ownership, and Management Company, the Bookkeeper is responsible for transaction processing, accounting analysis, reporting and other administrative duties in the department. The individual will also be involved with continuous process improvements and department projects. The Bookkeeper may be assigned to various functions including: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger / Reconciliation, and payroll. Additional key relationships include Front Office Manager, Director of Sales, Housekeeping Manager and Chief Engineer.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Responsible to review and post daily revenue and adjustment transactions

· Produce daily revenue reports for distribution

· Prepare bank deposits and handle hotel cash banks and ensures adequate currency and coin change

· Assist with payroll processing as directed

· Knowledge of accounting systems including payment processing systems

· Processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices

· Billing and collection of accounts receivable and approving accounts payable and purchases

· Assist with inventory of assets, supplies and consumables

· Ensuring government and legal requirements are met

· Collecting and analyzing information to ensure that the financial needs of the hotel are met in the most effective way possible

· Advancing and uphold the organizational vision and values and demonstrating leadership in this regard.

· Familiar with Forbes Hotel Standards

· Adheres to Versante Hotel policies and procedures

· Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and inspire others; follow all policies and procedures for Versante Hotel

· Be a brand ambassador for Versante Hotel

· Follow and practice all safety standards, guidelines and protocols related to COVID-19

· Demonstrate a respectful and inclusive manner to all guests, employees and vendors

· Support and promote other Sunwins businesses as requested

· Advocate sound business decisions; demonstrate honesty and integrity; lead by example.

· As part of the opening team, assist other team members with duties as requested

· Be available to assist with the pre-opening set up of the hotel Job Requirements/Qualifications:

· Strong preference given to candidates with accounting experience in the hotel and restaurant industry

· Possesses education in accounting courses

· Excellent computer skills, especially in Excel, Access, and Word; knowledge of Opera Sage and automated payroll systems beneficial

· Strong analytical skills and mathematical skills

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
