We are looking to fill the position of Hotel Housekeeping Supervisor at Fernie Alpine Resort. Our guest walks into their clean room, takes a deep breath, and immediately relaxes. You are the heart of the hotel, giving the gift of a place our guests dream to be. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be physically capable, and have excellent organizational and time management skills. You Will:
- To ensure a safe, comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
- Overseeing and working with the Housekeeping team, servicing both properties
- Provide training, leadership and mentoring to the Housekeeping team, ensuring the group is aware of and engaged with our mission, purpose and values
- Supplies ordering and inventory control
- Assigning responsibilities to team members
- Lead daily crew talks and action follow ups as necessary
- Supervision, quality control, feedback and accountability for team members
- Checking and reporting current status of rooms
- Ongoing suite care
- Preparing staffing schedules according to hotel occupancy
- Support and lead the team in all aspects of the resort wide Safety Management Program
- To perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
- Know and adhere to the policies, rules, and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
- Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
- Know adhere and enforce all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
You Have:
- Previous success in a Supervisory role an asset
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Reliable and responsible
- Ability to Bend, Lift, Push, and Pull up to 40 lbs.
