Job Description

The Night Audit position supports daily hotel operations and is a key member of the Front Office Team responsible for guest service during the night shift from 11:00pm to 7:00am. Night Audit reports to the Front Office Manager. This position requires someone who is confident, friendly, and a good problem solver with a focus on guest service; assisting guests through the arrival and checkout process, ensuring their needs and requests are identified and accommodated.

2 shifts per week of Night Audit as well as covering other Front Desk shifts during the rest of the week.

We are looking for an experienced Hotel Night Auditor who is passionate about connecting with guests at a genuine level to ensure that they have a seamless and personal check-in/checkout process.

Responsibilities

· Greets guests in a friendly and courteous manner during all interactions. Welcome guests and check them in or checkout in a personal and efficient manner.

· Responsible for the Hotel as the only position on property overnight.

· Accurately book guest reservations for individuals and groups using the hotel reservation system.

· Demonstrate sincere guest focus and true appreciation for the guest experience.

· Cash Handling/Deposits as well as reconciliations of daily transactions.

· Process cancellations, revisions and information updates or changes.

· Provide accurate information about the city and surrounding attractions when asked by guests.

· Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.

· Reconcile credit cards to POS systems

· Stay apprised of current rates, rate changes and all hotel promotions.

· Ensure timely preparation of daily reports.

· Ensure guest information is kept confidential and is maintained in compliance with policies and procedures.

· Resolve guest complaints maintaining Hotel standards

· All other duties as assigned that will assist and support the mandate of the Hotel and its ongoing success

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

Competencies and Qualifications

· Minimum 1 year proven experience in a Hotel role of Night Audit, Front Desk, Reservations or equivalent combination.

· Demonstrated strong team and communication skills are essential. Calm and courteous at all times.

· Highly responsible and reliable with keen attention to detail.

· Strong problem solving abilities combined with a natural curiosity.

· Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications, Webrezpro, Silverware (preferred) or other POS experience an asset and relevant computer applications preferred.

· Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of guests and offer appropriate options, solutions and resolutions.

· Effective decision making capabilities demonstrating sound judgment.

· Highly detail oriented organizational skills and able to handle multiple priorities under pressure.

· Nights and weekend shifts are required

· Strong cash-handling and transaction reconciliation skills. Job Application Process:
