Job title: Hotel Room Attendant/Housekeepers

Job description: Housekeeping Attendants are responsible hygienic maintenance of rooms and common guest areas to ensure a clean, sanitary, and comfortable, while staging each room to prescribed standards.

Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact and a friendly verbal greeting using the guests’ names when possible
Carry out lost property procedures, and ensure proper reporting and communication across departments is conducted regarding lost and found items
Responsible for the cleaning, organizing and staging of all suites, and adjacent areas, which will include but are not limited to:
Washing floors, windows, linen, dishes, furniture, decks, appliances, bathrooms including tub, toilet, and showers, etc.
Arranging beds, pillows, curtains, furniture, etc.
Ensuring all levels of the suites amenities, and all accouterments are present and accounted for Maintaining cleaning cart, tools, and equipment
Must be able to communicate effectively and routinely both within own department, guests, owners, as well as, all other departments Vacuum rooms and corridors
Change and replenish bed linen, towels and guest amenities in line with company guidelines
Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks Restock and maintain trolley on daily basis
Dispose of waste accordingly
Manage guest requests in a timely and efficient manner
Maintaining a positive culture in which staff and clients interact
To understand the correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with the health and safety regulations and manufacturer’s instructions.
To communicate any concerns and room issues to the department leader or supervisor on duty To ensure proper procedures are followed with the use of chemicals and cleaners. Job Requirements/Qualifications:

Experience as a Housekeeper or within the Housekeeping Department preferred, but not required
WHIMIS, First Aid, and CPR, an asset
Must be physically capable and able to lift moderately heavy items, along with movements such as bending, and kneeling when required. In addition will be required to stand on feet and/or walk for long periods.

Extremely guest focused, willing to put the interests of our guests and colleagues first. Desire to work both independently and within a team

  • Salary/Wage: $16-18 /hrs
