Position Description

This role leads other associates by coaching, giving direction and training. Hotel Duty Managers lead the agents whom are responsible for the guest registration process and communication of hotel services and promotions. This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. Other duties may include processing forms of payment and responding to guest inquires. Position Requirements
1.Work with the Guest Services Manager and General Manager to achieve standards as set down in the Policy & Procedures Manual.
2. Liaise with Guest Services and Maintenance regarding “ready” rooms ensuring guest requirements are met in accordance with company policy.
3.Assist with the orientation, training, coaching/disicipline of all housekeeping employees as required by company policy.
4.Ensure the correct handling of guest laundry and lost property in accordance with hotel and company standards.
5.Ensure adherence to security of bedrooms and keys as detailed in the Standards and Procedures Manual.
6.Facilitate the daily checking of bedrooms and designated employee areas maintaining standards set down in the Standards & Procedures Manual.
7.Ensure the safe storage, issue and effective use of cleaning materials and equipment as specified by the manufactures and Standards and Procedures Manual.
8.Ensure the proper handling of the laundry, maintaining the cost-effective use of linen and assist with inventories as requested by the Housekeeping Manager.
9.Responsible for the department in the absence of the General Manager and Guest Services Manager, ensuring fair delegation of duties, accurate completion of paperwork and maintaining standards as detailed in the Standards and Procedures Manual.
10.Carry out as necessary any job within the department as required to reduce workload or meet the deadlines of the department.
