Team Profile:
HR Digital Marketing and Corporate Communications supports our HR Technology, Marketing, and Communications platforms internally including MSToday and our HR Talent evaluation system.
HR Technology organization provides IT support to the Morgan Stanley Human Resource division. The Rewards Technology team is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining applications, which helps the firm to manage firm wide compensation and long-term incentive administration. We also provide technology expertise for vendor solution implementation and serves as the Morgan Stanley technology guidance to those vendor solutions.
Position Description:
As a business analyst your role will be coordinating between our Comp analysts/users, and technology team, with a focus on driving business and functional compensation requirements. You will work closely with our comp analysts, data providers, and compensation development team to define business process, business and functional requirements, data analysis, business rules, and dependencies of upstream and downstream requirements to support our Compensation technology solutions. You are expected to synthesize the information gathered from stakeholders to both senior management briefing and for development teams to comprehend. You will also maintain a strong understanding of industry and enterprise-level trends. You will work in a dynamic agile team that uses Scrum for its workflow. In addition to be working on your own initiative, you will be expected to collaborate with others in the wider team.
Qualifications
Skills Required:
– Bachelor’s degree required
– 5-10 years in a large financial service organization or major consulting organization focused on a business analysis type role
– Substantial work experience with software development cycle, with strengths in requirements gathering (end to end definition and management), data analysis and synthesis, and technical writing
– Strong problem solving skills.
-Ability to identify where focus is needed and bring clarity to business objectives, requirements and priorities
– Strong analytical skills to thoroughly understand how to interpret custom business needs and translate them into Jira stories
– Experience in project management
– Self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects with minimal supervision
– Strong written and verbal communications.
-Capable of collaborating effectively across a variety of IT and business groups, across regions, roles, and able to interact effectively with all levels
– Good customer service skills.
– Ability to deal with difficult situations/individuals gracefully.
– Ability to influence decisions/mindsets
Skills Desired:
– Technical skills (e.g., sql, database experience)
– Experience of working in an agile team
– Experience with HR and/or HR compensation
