What will you do?

  • Be a trusted partner for your customers by leveraging the Genetic Sciences portfolio of products and solutions to solve customer problems and accelerate research
  • Achieve annual sales targets through strategic selling and leading sales strategies in your territory
  • Build and nurture customer relationships through extensive cold-calling and prospecting efforts
  • Communicate the value of doing business with Thermo Fisher Scientific as a complete solution partner
  • Collaborate effectively across a matrix environment and leverage Thermo Fisher’s breadth to serve customers and gain market share
  • Exemplify a growth mindset and demonstrate a bias for action and results, consistently self-evaluating and adjusting to improve
  • Effectively use the tools and resources available to assist in the sales process such as dashboards, CRM, and analytical reports
  • Understand current industry technologies and trends and the impact it has on customers
  • Develop a strong understanding of Capillary Electrophoresis (Sanger Sequencing) and real-time PCR/qPCR workflows in general laboratory practice
  • Apply product and application knowledge across the division portfolio to successfully conduct consultative and strategic selling presentations
  • Demonstrate Thermo Fisher’s expertise and innovation in these arenas to provide tailored solutions and exceed customer’s needs
  • Demonstrate and model Thermo Fisher’s 4I values

How will you get here?

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Molecular Biology or Biochemistry – Advanced Degrees are a plus, but not a requirement – we have a mix of educational backgrounds on our team!
  • It is an asset to have hands-on laboratory experience, selling and/or customer facing experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with cross functional teams and people with diverse abilities, personalities, and responsibilities
  • Digital literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, or like programs required
  • The flexibility to be able to travel to the US as needed for required meetings (twice a year) and customer visits (typically once a quarter). This may include a variable work schedule to accommodate customer availability
  • The employee must occasionally lift objects up to 40 lbs. such as catalog cases. Maintain assigned equipment and tools provided by the Company in clean and working condition
  • Position may require Covid-19 vaccination and/or routing testing, per client discretion
