Within Cloud Delivery Services, the Cloud Infrastructure Services (CIS) unit is the shared service unit providing the basic infrastructure services to all other units within SAP: network, datacenter, storage and backup, server management, license management and supplier coordination. Cloud Infrastructure Services Data Center Management currently has a great opportunity for an IT Technology Senior/Principal Consultant Data Center Management.
The Data Center Management organization is an international team with the responsibility for the management and standardization of all activities within the SAP Data Centers either owned or rented. Data Center Management provides power, cooling and DC space based on rented and SAP owned data center buildings to all Cloud Units and internal teams worldwide in more than 13 countries and 19 strategic data center locations.
Together with colleagues in locations worldwide, the team is working with innovative technologies and permanently looking for new and innovative technologies and improvements.
EXPECTATIONS
– As a IT Technology Senior/Principal Consultant for Data Center Sourcing you are reporting directly to the Global Head of Data Center Management
– Support of GPO during DC contract negotiations with Data Center Colocation providers
– Create purchase orders for data center services
– Manage data center contract lifecycles
– Prepare and present DC business cases for the GCS management
– Coordinate service report content with colocation providers for DC capacity, sustainability and financial data
– Create and maintain a detailed DC reporting for Data Center KPI and financial data
– Prepare and provide financial data for the GCS budget and forecast process related to DC costs
– Support the DCM Management during the budget process
– Support DCM regions and GPO to review DC invoices
– Support the DCM Management by providing DC capacity and demand data. Coordinate capacity extensions and requirements with the DCM regional managers
– Prepare and release the DC capacity report
– Prepare and release the DC sustainability report
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
– You have received a very good Master degree or higher in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics or equivalent degree
Your strengths are:
– Good project management skills
– Dealing constructively and establishing trust relationship with customers
– Communicating easily in a multicultural environment
– Analytical thinking
WORK EXPERIENCE
– >5 years experience in data center service management
– Familiar with Data Center technology and KPI
– Experience with data center colocation contracts
– Experience in data center capacity management
– Experience with reporting tools and report design for data centers
– Familiar with complex, functional and multi-matrixes organizations
