Job Description:
Under supervision of the Director, Analytics, the position will be responsible for supporting our Insurance Client’s real estate asset management analytics platform. The focus will be on data integrity, actionable analysis, and presentation to senior management and the global asset management platform of findings. Must be comfortable communicating with executive stakeholders and managing processes. Extensive datawork, cleanup and working with big data.

Responsibilities:

• Provide insightful and actionable analysis. Examples of this include trends in portfolio deal economics, materials and labour pricing dynamics, and analysis on parking and charging stations.
• Present analyses to senior management team and global asset management platform.
• The position will review key performance indicators such as income growth, capital growth, and appraisal assumptions.
• Act as a global user expert and resource for business systems and applications that help regional teams conduct asset management activities (MSCI, Argus, VTS, Procore, etc.).
• Identify, research, and participate in the implementation of new digital tools across the organization.
• Ensure data integrity across all platforms for effective analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of reporting documentation and analysis for the various real estate Funds, General Account portfolio, and senior management.
• Develop contacts within the investment and valuation industry to acquire information related to investment trends and markets.

Must Haves:

• 2+ years in a Real Estate Finance/Analyst role.

• Knowledge of accounting concepts related to leasing, building expenses, and capital expenditures
• Skills in troubleshooting, understanding the theory of database systems and the ability to access building financials and leasing information from accounting/real estate systems.
• Considerable experience in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
• Intermediate knowledge in quantitative and statistical analysis.

• Fluency in VBA, DAX, and M Language

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Yardi Accounting System is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Argus Enterprise (AE) is considered an asset.
• Prior Project Management experience

Education:

• Undergraduate university degree required; Business/Mathematics major or MBA is considered an asset.

Specialization and Skills: Finance and Accounting FIN – Financial Analyst 2 – 4 years
