Job Description

Role Specific Accountabilities:

  • Be a key member of a high performance, highly agile and fun Cloud team to develop and engineer the firm’s AWS Cloud Foundation product
  • Lead the continuous development and improvement of Cloud Foundation product capabilities, cost optimization, reliability, security posture and user experience
  • Partner with team members and other teams to define, design and implement AWS best practices, IAM policies, Key/Secret management, security guardrails, cloud security tools
  • Develop Terraform templates for varies AWS services and patterns aligning to the firm’s cloud standards
  • Partner with team members to build and migrate to new version of Cloud Foundation CI/CD platform, maintain, and improve AWS account factory, EC2/Container image factory
  • Advocate and drive adoption of cloud and DevOps culture, present in varies internal forums and sessions on product releases, best practices, and provide consulting, guidance and implementation assistance to users/application teams
  • Partner with Data Engineering teams to develop patterns and accelerators for onboarding applications to both Data Fabric and Cloud Foundation
  • Partner with Cloud Operations team to provide operational transition and support escalation
  • Provide strong influence and contribute to the firm’s Cloud Community of Practice and Knowledge Advantage programs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering preferred
  • 10+ years infrastructure and/or applications development experience
  • 5+ years experience on engineering AWS infrastructure with relevant services: IAM, EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, KMS, VPC, Cognito, Config, SCP, CloudTrail, VPC Endpoint
  • 3+ years experience on CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps platforms: Terraform, Ansible, Github, Jenkins/AWS Codebuild, Vault, ELK stack
  • Hands on experience on container technologies, such as EKS, Docker, service mesh
  • Good knowledge on AWS networking services such as Transit Gateway, Route 53, firewall
  • AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate level certification required, Professional preferred
  • Demonstrated product mindset, including innovation, user oriented, business acumen, eager to drive continuous improvement, automation, optimization, mindful of cost implications from cloud
  • Attention to detail, pursuit for precision and accuracy with “can do” mindset
  • End to end thinking with whole stack holistic view
  • Eager to learn new technologies with strong curiosity, think out of the box
  • Strong influencer to drive peers’ cultural and behavioral change
  • Excellent communication skills
