We are seeking a Leader, Finance Operations and Capital Planning, to join our Finance Controllers team and located at our Corunna Site, near Sarnia, ON. In this role you will be dedicated financial support for the Manufacturing East Leadership Team (MELT) for all financial reporting, planning and analysis activities to increase return on investment and support the analytical-based decision-making process.
You Will Use Your Expertise To:
- Regional single point of contact for financial planning and forecasting activities by:
- Facilitate financial planning for Annual Business Plan, monthly forecasting, and reporting.
- Develop and track financial performance metrics
- Analyze financial performance KPI’s and variances with the regional leadership. (Including revenue, margin, variable costs, fixed cost, headcount, cash flows, conversion rates and balance sheets)
- Collaborate with the Regional Business Improvement team to investigate means to improve profitability and measure returns on investments.
- Develop robust tools and processes to enable:
- Support regional team and manufacturing excellence to develop an activity-based (ground-up) portfolio for 1, 5 &10 yrs. outlook by applying a consistent risk-based prioritization methodology
- Support consistency & clarity on Capital VS Expense
- Develop visibility and alignment among operations, business and strategy functions to better support Asset Roadmap development & Asset Lifecycle Economics assessments.
- Prudently make investments in assets that maximize returns.
- Partner with the Turnaround and Major Maintenance teams to monitor and control the event’s costs and progress Including:
- Integration with estimators, planners, and schedules throughout each Turnaround & Major Maintenance events
- Conduct probabilistic scenario analysis and ensure the range of possibilities are visible to event management team to make informed decisions and identify opportunities at the early stages
- Advocate & drive cost ownership culture
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience (combination of manufacturing and finance is preferred)
- One or more of the following credentials/educations are considered an asset:
- Postgraduate. degree in engineering or business (MBA is preferred)
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) or equivalent technologist designation
- Professional Management Professional (PMP)
- Strong working knowledge of SAP
- Excellent planning, time management, problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to collaborate with people from various levels of the organization to achieve goals
- Experience with SAP and Excel (Power BI knowledge is an asset)
- Excellent problem solving and facilitation skills with the ability to plan, prioritize and deliver quality results
- Team player with strong leadership and collaboration skills and the ability to effectively guide the team
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Continuous Improvement mindset focused on execution productivity
- Strong analytical skills to disseminate and effectively present data
