Job description: Vertical Staffing Resources is currently hiring a Machine Operator (Robot Operator) in Stoney Creek.
Note: You will be working in an environment with Paint, must be able to wear a respirator. Access to own transportation is recommended
JOB DETAILS:
- Booth Operator is responsible for operating the robots to the established quality specifications.
- In addition, s/he is responsible in participating in the Quality System and Environmental Management practicing continuous improvement wherever possible.
- Must be able to wear a respirator
- Paint Mixer will be responsible for mixing, monitoring, calculating, and recording paint used in production.
- S/He will also monitor and maintain all paint delivery system equipment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated Strong Communication Skills
- Demonstrated Mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrated to be task oriented
- Basic to Intermediate computer skills
- Advanced Manual Dexterity (Fluent with Joysticks)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment
- Experience to paint processing an asset
DUTIES AS A ROBOT OPERATOR:
- Perform and document tasks
- Monitor robotic paint application of automotive parts
- Monitor robotic functions during colour change and set up processes
- Ability to move robots using a joystick type controller.
- Inspect parts before and after painting for quality of the paint application.
- Comfortable with basic computer skills and programs (Microsoft Office)
- Ability to follow a schedule
- Ability to pay attention to minor details
- Set up Robots/Spray Applicators at the start of shift
- Prepare paint needed for production, verify expiration dates, Viscosities, paint temperatures, record batch numbers, record pump setups and calculate daily paint usage.
- Monitor paint pumps, catalyst vessels ensure supplies of nitrogen
- Ensure paint is properly labeled, handled and stored as per WHMIS regulations at all times.
- Report all accidents, incidents or potential safety hazards, non-conformances and paint or quality problems to supervisor immediately.
- Clean and teardown at the end of shift.
- Communicate observations on irregularities to the Process engineering team.
- Ability to manage information from a variety of computer monitors / screens in relation to a multitude of processes
- Perform duties as assigned from time to time by the supervisor.
SALARY:
- $19.00 / hour
SHIFTS:
- Monday to Friday
- Days: 4:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Afternoons: 12:30 PM – 9:30 PM
