Job description: MANAGER, MARKETING

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Marketing, the Manager, Marketing is responsible for developing and executing e-mail marketing campaigns that support audience acquisition, development and revenue generation for five key organizational priorities: Festival, New Releases, Cinematheque, Special Events and digital TIFF Bell Lightbox.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement TIFF’s e-mail marketing strategy to drive revenue and ticket sales for year-round and Festival programming
  • Build and deploy e-mail campaigns with the support of Editorial, Creative, Web and IT teams
  • Build and segment targeted e-mail lists to support audience development and engagement
  • With the support of the Senior Manager, Marketing, set marketing and promotional priorities for TIFF’s e-mail and web channels, including TIFF.net and digital TIFF Bell Lightbox
  • Provide ongoing reporting and analysis of e-mail campaign performance to share audience insights and campaign learnings
  • Build and deploy audience feedback surveys for key programming initiatives
  • Work with Corporate Partnerships and Audience & Community teams to deliver cross-promotion opportunities for corporate and community partners
  • Work with Loyalty & Engagement team to identify Member and Donor acquisition opportunities and support growth strategies
  • Work with IT team to develop and execute automated e-mail campaigns

Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • A post-secondary degree/certificate in marketing, business, or communications (preferred)
  • 5 years of digital marketing experience with a focus on e-mail marketing, customer lifecycle, marketing automation and web analytics
  • Previous hands-on experience building and deploying multiple e-mail marketing campaigns
  • Proven success in customer growth and revenue generation campaigns
  • Previous experience preparing and presenting post-campaign metrics and insights
  • Previous experience working in an arts & culture and/or film environment is considered an asset
  • Highly proficient with Mailchimp, Google Ads & Analytics, MS Office and Survey Monkey (or equivalent platforms)
  • Able to work effectively and independently on multiple simultaneous tasks within a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated analytical ability to interpret data and provide recommendations and next steps
  • Proven organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with TIFF audiences and and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop contacts, ability to impact, influence and interact with various levels within the organization
  • Adaptable to a flexible work schedule including some evenings and weekends
  • Strong passion and interest in the film and entertainment industry

Company:

Expected salary: $60000 – 65000 per year
