Job description: Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health is recruiting for a Manager to lead a team of process scientists in Fort Washington, PA or Guelph, Ontario.

The Process Science Manager provides leadership for a specialized team of scientific and technical support staff to meet the regional supply chain and business objectives.

The manager will lead a team that provides technical support, including formulation and process development activities, characterization, process performance qualification, and continued process verification associated with Technology Transfer projects, ongoing base business support and process optimization for commercialized products (primarily oral solid and oral liquid).

The manager will ensure quality and compliance in all cGMP related activities, maintain all required training for the role, and follow standard operating procedures to complete the required work. Influences partners and customers at multiple levels in the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality and Compliance: Complete training and ensure team is up to date on training requirements. Supervise and coordinate team members and supplier activities in support of project requirements and deadlines while ensuring GMP, Regulatory and corporate compliance
• Promote an environment of employee engagement in the workplace. Embrace a behavior of employee involvement and commitment to doing the job right the first time.
• Be a technical expert with a lead scientific voice in the MS&T organization with respect to the Self Care external Support to Marketed Products function within MS&T
• Work independently as a leader of a small technical team to manage the design, development and execution of research studies for a series of multi-faceted supply chain (cost improvement, continuity of supply, BCP, tech transfer, etc.) and compliance projects as they relate to external 3rd party supply chain.
• Develop, influence and cultivate external relationships with vendors including external manufacturers and contract laboratories.
