Job title: Marketing & Communications Manager

Job description: DVSA is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager, responsible for growing the school’s profile and sharing the story of a leading independent art school championing creativity and providing high-quality visual arts education. The Marketing & Communications Manager will report to the Director of Marketing, Events and Digital Strategy and the Executive Director.

Responsibilities:
Ongoing execution of the marketing and communications strategy for the school
Development and management of all print and online promotional materials including brochures, advertisements, media releases, sponsorship prospectus, newsletters, social media and website posts, etc.
Management of digital marketing initiatives including SEO and PPC campaign strategy, social media and Email marketing
Stewardship of the school brand
Development of new strategies for growth in relation to course registration and event participation
Development of marketing, communications and customer service strategies/standards for annual and long-range business planning
Provide support in the delivery and execution of the school’s Annual Campaign, in conjunction with the Director of Development
Provide support in the delivery and execution of the school’s Annual Art Auction and other events
Development of the school’s Annual Report
Development of marketing program reports and analysis
Provide input in the development of the annual marketing budget
Maintenance and development of local media relations
Representation for DVSA in corporate events, community events and trade shows
Act as a school photographer in the curation of an archived digital image library
Provide input and work with administrative team to shape program development
Deliver program and customer service support, where needed

Qualifications:
Related degree or diploma
3+ years of experience in a similar or related field
Previous experience working in the non-profit/cultural sector
Superb oral and written communication skills
Extensive experience with web and social media content development and digital marketing
Experience with photography and graphic design.

Compensation: $45,000 – $50,000 annual salary (commensurate with experience) and a competitive benefits package

Requirements: Skills
Technology savvy with experience in website management (WordPress), social media business platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok), Adobe Creative Suite, Office 365, Hootsuite, MailChimp, etc.
Intermediate to advanced graphic design skills

Abilities
Able to multitask, meet deadlines and manage projects to completion
Solve problems creatively
Communicate effectively
Work in a team environment providing leadership and demonstrating deft interpersonal skills
