About the role
Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular Full Time Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic Marketing team. This role functions as key support for the creative studio team as the individual responsible for primary assessment, discovery, and task breakdowns for marketing projects.
We’re looking for an individual with generalized marketing experience with particular focus on project coordination, content development, and graphic design. The successful applicant is proactive, and relationship focused with exceptional attention to detail. The successful applicant can manage numerous projects with varying degrees of urgency, with tight schedules and multiple stakeholders.
We work in a complex, fast-paced environment, so the ideal Marketing Coordinator will be able to hit the ground running. Applicants with experience coordinating and collaborating on creative projects will be given prime consideration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assessment and primary discovery phase of the marketing request intake process
- Develop and maintain on-going transparent and effective relationships with stakeholders and colleagues throughout the organization
- Create crystal clear, yet concise project briefs with explicit objectives, defined audiences, and well-articulated requirements including context, proposed messaging, and detailed specifications
- Creation of lists tasks and workback schedules for small to medium sized projects
- Balancing workload for creative team based on current and incoming work and team member capacity
- Primary monitor and contact point for the marketing team inbox
- Coordinate the assignment, briefing and materials for overflow work with our creative agency
Qualifications:
- A university degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field from a recognized academic institution
- 2-7 years of related experience in customer-facing marketing and customer service support
- Past work experience as a marketing coordinator or similar role
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Exceptional and written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite, especially with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Sharepoint
- Proficiency with Basecamp or similar project management applications
