Job description: Envol is hiring an experienced Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. We’ve seen some incredible growth through referrals and word of mouth, but now it’s time to really dive into growth!
We’re a fast-growing people solutions firm looking for an experienced, curious, relationship-driven, and radically independent Marketing Specialist who is ready to go all-in and join us on this growth journey! You will spearhead growth marketing, ideate partnership opportunities, and think big to help accelerate our growth. Our diverse client portfolio includes leading technology companies, established blue-collar businesses, professional services firms, brand-new startups, and more!
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Here’s an overview of what you can expect to own in your new role: * Develop, execute, and report on lead generation campaigns. From email marketing to partner webinars, this role centres on finding those new opportunities to communicate our value with our target market, and finding new ways to bring them on board.
- Metrics and testing are big for us – we like to take risks and experiment, as long as we’re learning along the way. Using our marketing automation tools (Hubspot), Google Analytics, and other tools you might need, you’re helping us find out what works with a focus on ROI.
- Content is a key part of our marketing strategy – writing blog posts, emails, and other content pieces, building out the plan with the support of your colleagues and leadership.
- Have a passion for the small business life – we’re looking for someone hyper independent, an epic executor, who is organized and gets things done.
- Willingness to learn! Things change quickly in a business growing as fast as Envol. We dig into new problems and find better ways to do things – there’s no “it’s always been done that way” here!
YOUR BACKGROUND
Your experience may include:
- 3+ years of experience in a marketing or communications-type role.
- Previous experience marketing professional services and solutions to a B2B target market.
- Familiar with marketing automation and email marketing tools (Hubspot, Mailchimp, and Google Analytics to name a few).
- Post-secondary education, ideally in business or a marketing-related field, would be a strength in this role.
- Proven track record of strong communication and problem solving skills.
- Strong writing skills, preferably in customer-facing communications (blog posts, newsletters, support docs).
- Experience in a customer-facing role like customer service, sales, or customer success is a plus.
- You give a damn about creating impact and delivering experiences that delight making a powerful contributor to a performance-oriented culture.

Competitive compensation – Your contributions are the reason we are successful. We offer you a competitive base salary ($50,000 to $70,000 based on experience), a generous bonus program (that’s actually attainable), and comprehensive benefits.
Vacations & Time Off – You’re human, which means you need to pursue your passions and enjoy time with people you love. We offer you 3 weeks of paid vacation, plus we typically shut down for a few days between Christmas (really Christmas Eve) and New Year’s.
All the Team Events – We like each other – a lot. We’ve worked hard to build a team that we genuinely want to spend time with, which means team events on the regular. Even during COVID we manage to have a virtual team happy hours, trivia nights, bingo, the works. When COVID wasn’t keeping us apart, our team events have included: concerts (in a private suite, no less), speaking events (Oprah … like, actually), dinners, lunches, coffee runs, quarterly team retreats to the USA, and more. Plus, karaoke concerts on the daily. All the fun, all the time.

Flexible working situation – To keep everyone safe, our team is currently working remotely. Based on popular demand, we will provide in-person work opportunities to facilitate collaboration and social connection (IRL). We’re thinking mostly remote with a day or two a week in office collaboration and general human interaction. Regardless, remote work is here to stay! Also, you’re an adult, so you control your hours.
Anti-agency – Business as usual isn’t really a thing around here. We’re pioneering a new way to support companies with their hiring and human resources needs, and the response from the market speaks for itself (and wins us awards!) PSA: We’ve worked in the typical sales-driven recruitment agency game ourselves, and it’s not something we do or allow here.
