Grizz Hotel located in Revelstoke BC. We welcome guests from all of the world. Grizz hotel is near Revelstoke mountain resort, Mt Revelstoke National Park and Moses Falls. Jump on the free ski shuttle for a day on the slopes before returning to Grizz Hotel for a meal at the restaurant and a drink at the bar/lounge.

Marketing specialist

Job Responsibilities:

As a Marketing specialist, you will perform the following duties:

Conduct research on local and foreign hotel market to identity interests and trends of the hotel industry

Collect data on local competitors, including prices, market campaigns, as well as marketing and distribution channels

Gather and analyze information on customer needs and preferences, and recommend alterations for hotel management approval.

Assist in create and the preparation of marketing materials both in digital and physical methods, such as brochures, flyers, reports, newsletters and websites

Develop, implement and report on marketing plans and sales strategies to achieve business goals

Organize meetings, ceremonies and other events when needed

Build and manage relationships with vendors, partners and contractors to increase hotel occupancy rate

Keeping maintain and raise sales relationships with existing clients, identity and solicit potential clients

Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• A university or college diploma is required

· At least 2 years marketing experience

· Excellent communication skills

• Hotel background is an asset
• Skills in multi-tasking, interpersonal, and time management
• Proficient skills in using Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of customer service principles and practices is an asset
