Job description: We are looking for a Marketing and Communications Lead who will use exceptional communication, design, and management skills to coordinate our marketing and communication activities across disciplines and sectors. We are looking for someone who is a passionate storyteller, a strategic thinker, and an enthusiastic collaborator. This position is best suited to someone who is self-motivated, has a passion for effective communications, and is excited to win new work while contributing to the studio’s growth. The Marketing and Communications Lead will report directly to the Principal group.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Create engaging, exciting, and effective proposals, qualifications packages, award submissions, and presentations for prospective clients. This will require working closely with Principals and project teams in order to:
  • Track and evaluate opportunities across disciplines
  • Shape communications and pursue strategies
  • Develop and organize written and graphic materials (both client-specific and boilerplate)
  • Schedule, track and assist in the production of packages to ensure consistency, quality, and on-time delivery
  • Coordinate debriefs and ensure that feedback contributes to the ongoing improvement of the pursuit process
  • Develop creative and compelling communications strategies that reflect the studio strengths, priorities, and goals
  • Conduct research for ongoing business development/marketing activities, including sector- or discipline-specific analysis
  • Act as a liaison for communications and public relations efforts
  • Coordinate events, advertisements, and content for speaking engagements as necessary
  • Manage project and client data in firm wide databases and marketing collateral
  • Manage two or more direct reports
  • Collaborate with peers in other offices, both across Canada and throughout the organization worldwide
  • Chair and keep record of weekly Business Development meetings
  • Develop pursuit plans when required
  • Develop a master Communication Plan for tracking internal/external communication not limited to social channels
  • Performing support and/or administrative tasks, as required
  • Support Ontario offices and/or national sector-or discipline-specific initiatives as required

Requirements: * Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related discipline

  • 8-10 years of technical marketing experience.
  • Experience within the A/E/C industry preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team ethic
  • Strong organization, multitasking and time-management skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with office leadership and clients
  • Ability to direct and motivate work efforts of others and handle stressful situations.
  • Familiarity with the A/E/C industry including relevant trade organizations, publications, conferences, and events
  • Ability to self-manage project assignments from start to finish with minimal oversight
  • Technical production skills are necessary and require a demonstrated ability to effectively use database applications, InDesign, Microsoft Office and Teams, and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Collaborative and professional work ethic
