The Network Analyst, WIFI provides network configuration support for the purpose of seamless WIFI connectivity to a variety of internal and external users and vendors, utilizing industry training and knowledge from programs such as CCNA, CCNA Wireless, and/or Aruba Certified Mobility Associate. The role is responsible for the incident handling of network services and the configuration of enterprise network equipment, including wireless access points, wireless controllers, RADIUS servers, switches, routers by providing professional expertise when diagnosing problems and formulating solutions, ensuring installed services align with PHSA’s standards and requirements.
What you’ll do:
- Responds to system incidents and other tickets via the service desk by performing tasks such as investigating and prioritizing incidents and tickets according to potential impact, analyzing and diagnosing problems and formulating solutions, escalating unresolved incidents and tickets as required. Perform incident matching to find solutions and or identify problems. Help in categorize and prioritize problems.
- Monitors the health of core and remote networks and conducts feasibility studies using existing NMS systems to detect when systems or customer sites experience faults. Monitors network and program testing.
- Gathers information and feedback from user department, provides technical advice, documents incidents with and adequate detail, and communicates progress on tickets to the service desk, customers, and/or technical teams.
- Adapts existing, or create new, reports from data repositories for purpose of Wi-Fi network trending and analysis or inventory needs. Performs record keeping functions surrounding hardware such as inventories, equipment locations and other asset management information.
- Participates in the development of technical support procedures in areas such as hardware and technical software operations and monitoring, including documentation and communication to the team.
- Develops and recommends process improvement solutions and projects. Provides technical expertise to team members, internal partners, and vendors.
- Assigns work tasks to designated staff and provides related training and orientation.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
What you bring:
- Grade 12, graduation from a recognized two-year computer systems technology diploma program, plus three years’ recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
