About the Position:
This is a full-time Support Staff Bargaining Unit position working 35 hours per week at an hourly rate of $41.03. This position reports to the Director, Innovation Institute.
Specific Accountabilities:
- Ensuring revenue and enrollment targets are met through the coordination of operations within the Online Education (Online Ed) department.
- In collaboration with the academic schools, identifies new Ontariolearn (ONLearn) opportunities, launches programs, courses, workshops and seminars through to implementation and contributes to the continuing growth of Online Education.
- Serves a key role in the development and operationalization of online programming and new continuing education initiatives (ie. flexible and PT programming, Micro-credentials) including supporting course outline development, program maps, and curriculum committee materials.
- Maintains the smooth operations of the Online Ed department by coordinating day-to-day staff activities.
- Serves as primary budget coordination contact for Online Ed including preparing budget, and forecast information; monitoring and tracking revenues and expenditures; and determining financial case for various new product offerings.
- Coordinate all ONLearn, continuing education, Micro-credential and online learning activities including setup, delivery, and quality review.
- Coordinate and setting up of labs/onsite training opportunities, particularly as it relates to Micro-credentials; and coordinating the registration and grade submission process with other College business units.
- Coordinate and perform academic functions for the Online Ed department including course builds, student placements, Transfer Credits, and PLAR.
- Perform administrative requirements of the department including coordinating staff, scheduling, and SME and course staffing.
- Provides quality assurance alignment for Online Ed offerings in alignment with College and ONLearn standards.
- Assesses and responds to student complaints, and liaising with stakeholders, Deans, Directors, ONLearn Partners and/or Registrar as required while upholding College Academic Policies and documenting appropriate files.
- Administers an exceptional level of customer service to its students, internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Three year diploma/degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or General Business Administration
- Minimum of 5 years practical experience in the field of coordinating online training and/or continuing education and/or curriculum design; with strong background in project management, human resources and budget tracking/forecasting.
