Job description: Mercy Hospital – Springfield is recruiting two full-time pediatric general surgeons to join Mercy Kids, a comprehensive children’s hospital�in Springfield, MO. We offer a dedicated pediatric emergency department, pediatric operating rooms, a beautiful clinic suite located right next to the hospital, a St. Jude’s�site for pediatric oncology, and access to a large referral network of general pediatricians and pediatric specialists. A very successful ramp-up is anticipated as volumes are high and competition is minimal. A partnership�with Mercy Hospital – St. Louis and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis allows for educational and research capabilities as well as partners for difficult cases. Candidates must be fellowship trained in pediatric surgery and a skill set for a wide variety of�cases.�

• Pediatric capable trauma center for Missouri and Arkansas – Trauma surgeons in-house 24/7 for first response

• Dedicated pediatric ORs for inpatient and outpatient surgery with fellowship-trained pediatric anesthesiologists
• 12-bed PICU, 40-bed level III NICU, 30 bed inpatient pediatric floor
