Job title: Product Information Specialist
Job description: Cavendish Farms is a leading producer of frozen food products for retail and foodservice markets throughout Canada, the United States and around the world. We have an appetizer plant in Wheatley, ON two state-of-the-art potato processing plants in PEI, one in Lethbridge, AB, and another in Jamestown, ND. Headquartered in Dieppe, NB, the company has sales office locations in Toronto, Montreal and Boston.
Reporting to the Director Supply Chain Optimization, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the processes, tools and data stewardship to manage product information from its creation to its final destination (websites, e-commerce platforms, customer data portals).
This is an important role that supports the growth of our brands on e-commerce platforms both in Retail and Foodservice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with Marketing, QA and Packaging to collect the required product information
- Act as the Product Information Data Steward
- Maintain and improve a central repository of product information
- Manually publish product information to customer portals until automation is in place
- Establish product information rule books based on our customer and industry requirements.
- Audit customer portals and websites to ensure information quality.
- Audit internal databases to ensure information quality.
- Lead process improvement and technology implementation efforts to optimize the end-to-end process
Successful Candidate will possess all or some the following qualifications:
- The ability to lead, influence and work across functions
- An understanding of product information management and product lifecycle
- Familiarity with GS1, GDSN, 1WS or similar industry data exchanges
- Familiarity with Retailer or Foodservice Distributor e-commerce portals
- Good technical skills and familiarity with core enterprise systems (ERP, DAM, QMS)
- An understanding of Master Data and Data Governance
- An understanding of New Product Introduction processes
- A rigorous and process centric work ethic
- Skills in Project Management and Continuous Improvement
