We’re looking for a Product Manager – Financial Systems. The work location for this position is Burnaby, British Columbia and is eligible for a fully remote.
This is a contractor position.
The Opportunity:
Ritchie Bros is seeking a Product Manager with knowledge in financial data flows, products, and processes. This role will require domain expertise in financial and accounting systems and processes.
As the Product Manager responsible for financial products, you will work closely stakeholders across the finance organization to enable a best-in-class customer and employee experience. This includes developing the strategy, requirements, timelines, milestones, and processes that enable teams to work seamlessly as Ritchie Bros continues to transform our business into a product-driven marketplace. You should serve as a thought-leader to the team.
In this role you’ll:
Insights
Works with finance and other product teams to uncover areas of opportunity to improve our financial products and tools
Uses data as a key input to product decisions
Defines metrics to track and measure business benefits
Understands industry trends across their product area and works to incorporate standard processes with outside-in thinking
Strategy
Responsible for shaping product area strategy with close support from manager
Can create and clarify strategy in ambiguous areas with guidance
Contributes and influences at group level
Creates clear and logical rationale that is in line with product area strategy and is easy to consume
Gets team buy-in on strategy and roadmap rationale
Execution
Synthesizes input from various sources to craft a single narrative
Meticulously ensures strategy is up to date
Actively contributes to exploration of multiple solutions to the problem statement, and represents inputs and tradeoffs to drive accurate scoping
Ensures teams are focused by default on scoping small and clearly documenting decisions made
Defines what we need to learn and best way to learn it
Gets teams to quickly adapt to results
Defines new and existing customer feature onboarding

A degree in Computer Science or related experience
MBA/MA Preferred
4+ year experience Product Manager – Financial Systems
